Wes brought me in again to get his cover art and this one was a little bit of a challenge because of the lights we had at our disposal. However; while playing around with some LEDs we were able to get this red silhouette. From the moment he saw it on the back of the camera he knew it was it. Then the rest is history.

My good friend and amazing artist, Wes Will, brought me on as lead photographer and co-creative director on this project to get his next album cover. We explored many ideas and styles throughout the day. Finally, through some interesting lighting means, I got this shot above.

Missy inspired, the “in your face” style we chose for this single cover really came together so well. We were a little on a time crunch and needed to get this artwork turned in for the drop. However, it didn’t affect the quality of the final image. One of my favorites still to this day.

A shot that we had been envisioning for some time to really show the new direction Z wanted to go for on this album Zebra. We used a 35mm film stock, Cinestill. So all the scratches and coloring were not effects in post but rather on the film scan itself. So it had the duality of being authentic, while also showing his ability to change.
